Created in collaboration with a Glide‑affiliated poet, the installation reflects the organization’s radically inclusive mission and its commitment to dignity, compassion, and community in the heart of the Tenderloin. Howard’s sculptural text transforms the entryway into a threshold of welcome, using language as both material and message.
